Electric

Bangor Municipal was formed in 1932. In 2012 we built a new substation to aid in reliability. We serve approximately 1800 customers, 1200 of which are located outside of the Village of Bangor. Bangor Municipal has approximately 220 square miles of territory located in eastern La Crosse county and part of western Monroe County.

 

Rates

Below are our current rates for electric usage. (Effective 06/01/2021).

RESIDENTIAL — RG-1

  • Customer Charge
    • (single phase)....... $10.25 per month
    • (three-phase)...... $17.00 per month
  • Energy Charge:
    • All Energy used @ 12.25¢ per KWH Plus PCAC Charge*

GENERAL SERVICE — GS-1

  • Customer Charge
    • (single phase)....... $15.00 per month
    • (three-phase)...... $22.00 per month
  • Energy Charge:
    • All Energy used @ 13.10¢ per KWH Plus PCAC Charge*

SMALL POWER SERVICE — CP-1

(for customers with demands of 50 KW - 200 KW)

  • Customer Charge .......................... $50.00 per month
  • Energy Charge:
    • All Energy used @ 6.75¢ per KWH Plus PCAC Charge*
  • Demand Charge:
    • $9.50 per registered kilowatts
  • Distribution Demand Charge:
    • $1.25 per maximum kilowatts registered in last 11 months

LARGE POWER SERVICE — CP-2

(for customers with demands of 200 KW or greater)

  • Customer Charge ........................ $100.00 per month
  • Energy Charge:
    • Energy used @ 6.60¢ per KWH
    • Plus PCAC Charge*
  • Demand Charge:
    • $10.50 per registered kilowatts
  • Distribution Demand Charge:
    • $1.75 per maximum kilowatts registered in last 11 months

 

* POWER COST ADJUSTMENT CLAUSE (PCAC):

All metered rates are subject to a positive or negative power cost adjustment charge equivalent to the amount by which the current cost of power (per kilowatt-hour of sales) is greater or lesser than the base cost of power purchased and produced (per kilowatt-hour of sales).
